Taylor Swift Song of the Week: “Delicate”

In honor of “Delicate” being Taylor Swift’s newest single from reputation, we chose to make it our Song of the Week.

“Delicate” is the fifth track from Swift’s sixth studio album reputation, and is bound to be one of her most successful singles yet. It’s a sultry, yet vulnerable pop ballad where the songstress takes a chance a vocoder and nails it flawlessly. The album may be filled with firey tracks like “I Did Something Bad” and her lead single “Look What You Made Me Do,” but “Delicate” showcases the raw and vulnerable moments that Swift is known for.

The lyrics tell a story of uncertainty, which many listeners will be able to relate to. Nerves and anxiety, just like her track “Out of the Woods” are laced throughout the storyline. Perhaps, Swift repeated “Isn’t It” several times throughout the song is what showcases this in perfect Swift fashion. It’s a fan favorite and one that we know everyone is excited to hear on tour. “Delicate” is set to impact radio on March 12 and the music video will premier during the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday, March 11.

We think it’s safe to say that this song is about to be huge, and the world who hasn’t heard yet is about to be blown away. Insecurities are a part of us, and Swift reminds us of this in this delicate pop ballad. Listen to the track below:
