The film came out in 2010 and featured several famous names including, Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Héctor Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Shirley MacLaine, Emma Roberts, Julia Roberts, Carter Jenkins, and, of course, Taylor Swift. In the movie, Swift places Felicia Miller, a high schooler who is experiencing the beginning and honeymoon stages of love. Her love interest is Willy Harrington (Taylor Lautner).

Though Swift is in the film only a handful of times, she’s definitely the highlight. Who doesn’t love to watch a curly-haired Swift on screen? We know we do. Her scenes were sweet as we watched her character fall in love, squeal, and experience new beginnings. But Swift didn’t only take part in the acting portion. She also wrote a song called “Today Was A Fairytale” for the soundtrack released via Big Machine Records (Swift’s label).

The song debuted at No.2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, breaking the record for highest first-week sales by a female artist, which is an incredible feat for a soundtrack song. Her track “Jum Then Fall,” from her Fearless Platinum Edition album was also featured on the soundtrack. Needless to say, Swift’s presence was huge in the film and it’s what certainly made it all worthwhile.
