Women have become a powerful force on the charts over the last year, and one being the incomparable Taylor Swift. Swift alone has proved that she is only getting better and more powerful as time goes on.

Taylor Swift has had several groundbreaking accomplishments throughout the years, and her successes aren’t coming to an end anytime soon. She’s mastered the country world, is a force to be reckoned with in the pop world and is quite literally taking over the universe. The accomplishments of one artist are the reasons why she has paved the way for others and will be in the history books forever.

After the release of Swift’s sixth studio album reputation, it was bound to go to No.1 and sell over a million copies. The title immediately shifted 1.238 million units, and almost all of them were actual sales (seeing as the album wasn’t made available to streaming until a couple weeks later). This was Swift’s fourth album to sell over a million copies or more in one week (she is the first one to do so). This success has given reputation the eighth largest opening week of all time, according to Forbes.

Of course, Swift’s other albums are sitting right next to reputation. 1989 is clocked in at No.7, Red is No.9. 1989 moved 1.287 million units and Red moved 1.208 million. With that success, Swift is the only artist to see more than a pair of albums to break the tier.

It’s no surprise that Swift has moved mountains, and reputation is considered 2017’s bestselling album of the year after only being out for a month and a half. Taylor Swift isn’t over. In fact, she’s here for the long haul and we’re okay with that.
