Throwback Thursday: 1989 Secret Sessions

We know it’s the eve of a brand new Taylor Swift song but we can’t help but go back on reminisce on the era that was the 1989 era.

It was a magical time and leading up to the release of what would be the most popular album in 2014, Taylor Swift got closer to her fans in the greatest way possible. How? She invited well over a hundred Swifties in her home(s) to eat cookies, hang out with Swift and listen to the brand new album that was to be released in October.

To not say that this was by far the greatest thing any artist could do for their fans would be wrong. Swift went out of her way to meet as many fans as she could during this magical era and the secret sessions were just one way to do so.

Not only was Swift’s parents, Andrea and Scott Swift present, so was Swift herself. They laughed, took photos and listened to the album in its entirety. It was by far the best memory every Swiftie who was invited has had in their lifetime. We know it would be ours as well.

Swift held a secret session in each of her homes in L.A., Nashville, New York, Rhode Island and a rental home in London just so Swifties from all over the world could get closer to her and experience a once in a lifetime opportunity.

As fans are gearing up for the Reputation era, those who were invited are remembering the magic of 2014.

Were you invited to a secret session? We would love to hear your story. Tell us all about it in the comments or tweet us @FansofTaylorFS
